Who has spring fever? I do…I do! The weather in Colorado has been hovering in the 60’s most of the week and it has inspired me to start decorating for spring. My seeds are starting to sprout in the basement and I have been wearing flip flops most of the week. I realize that we will probably have another snow storm in Colorado very soon, but I am going to enjoy this weather while it lasts!
While Little C was down for his afternoon nap, I decided to go “shopping” in my basement and guest room. I put together this little spring mantle with anything bright, and cheery I could find. I am quite happy with it, and it makes me feel like spring in Colorado is closer then it really is.
Here is the before shot of my mantle with Winter/Valentines décor.
Here is the after shot…..Spring has sprung!
This simple chalkboard was made with my trusty Chalkboard Paint and an old frame I found in the basement. Simple, cheap, and very reusable.
I love my little bird family. …one for each of my boys and myself. I also repurposed a wire basket to hold hand towels in my powder bathroom. Another little chalkboard and turquoise bird finish off the spring décor…..do you see a trend here?
Wherever you are, I hope the weather is as nice as it is in Colorado. I plan to finally get my hands dirty this weekend and turn all of the soil in my garden beds. Also, I believe a big family hike will be in store. Enjoy your time with your friends and family and don’t forget to SPRING FORWARD on Sunday!! Thanks for stopping by Throwback Road.
What have you done around your house to get ready for Spring?
